CALLBOYS wins Rockie Award for best non-english language Comedy Series

Lagardère Studios Distribution is thrilled that Flemish series CALLBOYS has won the non-English language comedy award at BANFF. Handling its worldwide distribution outside Flemish-speaking Belgium and The Netherlands, Lagardère Studios Distribution is already in negotiations with Russia and Poland.

Starring as the four heroic gigolos in the series, Matteo Simoni, Rik Verheye, Bart Hollanders and Stef Aerts together already grabbed the Best Actor prize at the 30th FIPA (International Festival of Audiovisual Programs) in Biarritz, France, earlier this year.

Three gigolos set up shop together as the Callboys. They form the go-to escort collective for women in search of courteous company. What the Callboys lack in wit, they make up for in testosterone, making things harder rather than simpler. They start to fancy themselves as businessmen. Once they decide to start selling their own personalized dildos, their fate is sealed.

Series (7x50’) created by Youri Boone & Jan Eelen. Directed by Jan Eelen. Produced by Woestijnvis & FBO BVBA for Vier.

A second season (7x50’) is currently in development for fall 2018
